Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble and install your window mosquito screen:

  1. Prepare the Profiles: Connect the aluminum profiles using the corner connectors to form the frame. Ensure they are securely fitted.
  2. Install the Mesh: Lay the fiberglass mosquito net fabric over the assembled frame. Using the piping beads and a suitable tool (not included, typically a spline roller), press the fabric into the groove of the aluminum profiles. Trim any excess fabric.
  3. Attach Handles and Springs: Secure the two piping handles to the frame. Insert the stainless steel suspension springs into the designated slots on the frame.
  4. Apply Brush Seal: Integrate the brush seal into the frame. This seal helps to close any gaps between the mosquito screen and your window frame, providing enhanced protection against insects.
  5. Installation on Window: The assembled mosquito screen is designed to be hung onto the window frame using the integrated suspension springs. No drilling into your window frame is required. The slim profile (9 mm total installation depth) allows for installation even behind existing roller shutters.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the mosquito screen provides continuous insect protection. To open or close your window, simply unhook the screen from the window frame using the handles and set it aside. Re-attach it when the window is in the desired position. For seasonal use, the screen can be easily removed and stored.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Mesh: The fiberglass mesh can be cleaned with a soft brush or a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the aluminum frame with a damp cloth.
  • Storage: For prolonged periods of non-use (e.g., winter), remove the screen from the window and store it in a dry, protected area to extend its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Screen does not fit window opening. Incorrect measurements or assembly. Re-measure window opening and ensure profiles are cut to correct length during assembly. Check all corner connections.
Gaps between screen and window frame. Brush seal not properly installed or damaged. Ensure the brush seal is fully seated in its groove. Replace if damaged.
Mesh is loose or sagging. Piping bead not fully inserted or has come loose. Re-insert the piping bead firmly into the profile groove using a spline roller.
