2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the iron.
- Use the iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
- Always turn the iron to OFF before plugging or unplugging from the electrical outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let the iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
- Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
- Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Setup and Preparation
Before First Use:
- Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
- Ensure the iron is set to the correct voltage for your region (110-120V or 220-240V) using the voltage selector switch, typically located on the base of the iron.

Filling the Water Reservoir (for Steam Ironing):
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Open the water filler cap.
- Using a measuring cup, carefully pour distilled or demineralized water into the translucent water reservoir up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
- Close the water filler cap securely.
Folding the Handle:
The iron features a foldable soft grip handle for compact storage and travel. To fold, locate the release button or mechanism, press it, and gently fold the handle down until it locks into place. To unfold, reverse the process.

4. Operating Instructions
General Ironing:
- Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Adjust the temperature dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the fabric guide on the dial or garment care labels.
- The pilot light indicator will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
- Begin ironing once the pilot light turns off.

Dry Ironing:
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the "Dry" position (if applicable) or that the water reservoir is empty. Proceed with ironing as described in the general ironing steps.
Steam Ironing:
Ensure the water reservoir is filled. Set the temperature dial to a steam-appropriate setting (usually indicated on the dial, e.g., "Steam" or higher temperature settings for cotton/linen). Once the iron reaches temperature, steam will be generated from the soleplate. Move the iron smoothly over the fabric.

Spray Mist Function:
To use the spray mist, press the spray button located on the handle. This function is useful for dampening stubborn wrinkles before ironing.
5. Maintenance and Care
Cleaning the Soleplate:
The iron features a non-stick coating soleplate. To clean, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the non-stick surface.

Emptying the Water Reservoir:
After each steam ironing session, or before storing, ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Empty any remaining water from the reservoir to prevent mineral buildup and odors.
Storage:
Store the iron in an upright position on its heel rest, or with the handle folded for compact storage, in a dry and safe place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the cord is loosely wrapped around the iron.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet faulty; temperature dial set to OFF or too low. | Check power connection; try another outlet; adjust temperature dial to desired setting. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water reservoir empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control set to dry. | Fill water reservoir; set temperature to steam-appropriate level; adjust steam control. |
| Water leaks from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; overfilled water reservoir; iron not hot enough before steaming. | Increase temperature; do not overfill; wait for pilot light to turn off before steaming. |
| Iron sticks to fabric. | Temperature too high for fabric; soleplate dirty. | Reduce temperature; clean soleplate as per maintenance instructions. |
