Setup Instructions
- Unpack the Light Panel: Carefully remove the LED500 panel and all accessories from the carry case.
- Mounting:
- Locate the 5/8" receiver on the U-shaped yoke of the light panel.
- Attach the light panel to a compatible light stand (not included) by inserting the stand's spigot into the receiver.
- Tighten the locking knob on the yoke to secure the panel in place.
- Adjust the angle of the light panel using the locking knobs on each side of the yoke.
- Power Connection:
- AC Power: Connect the included AC power adapter to the power input port on the light panel. Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard 100-240 VAC power outlet.
- DC (Battery) Power: If using NP-F batteries (not included), insert fully charged batteries into the NP-F battery plate on the rear of the panel. Ensure correct polarity.
- Attach Diffusion Filter: If desired, slide the diffusion filter into the designated slots on the front of the light panel to soften the light output.
Operation
Once the light panel is powered on, you can adjust its settings using the controls located on the back of the unit.
- Power On/Off: Locate the power switch and toggle it to the 'ON' position to turn on the light.
- Brightness Dimming (100-0%): Use the dedicated dimmer knob or buttons to adjust the light intensity from 100% down to 0%. Rotate clockwise to increase brightness, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Color Temperature Adjustment (3200K-5600K): Use the color temperature control knob or buttons to change the color output. Rotate to select between warmer (3200K) and cooler (5600K) light.
- Monitoring Settings: The integrated display (if present) will show the current brightness percentage and color temperature setting.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the light panel. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the electrical components. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, store the light panel in its included carry case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Battery Care: If using NP-F batteries, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for charging and storage to prolong battery life. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect cables and connections for any signs of wear or damage. Replace damaged components immediately.
