General Power Tool Safety:

  • Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
  • Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
  • Personal Safety: Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing or jewelry.
  • Power Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.

Angle Grinder Specific Safety:

  • Always ensure the guard is properly installed and adjusted for maximum safety.
  • Use only wheels that are rated for the grinder's maximum RPM.
  • Secure the workpiece. Use clamps or a vise to hold the workpiece firmly.
  • Be aware of kickback. Always maintain a firm grip on the tool and position your body and arm to resist kickback forces.
  • Allow the wheel to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
  • Never use the side of a cutting wheel for grinding.
  • After turning off the tool, wait until the wheel has completely stopped before setting the tool down.

4. Setup

Attaching the Auxiliary Handle:

The auxiliary handle can be installed in two positions (left or right) to provide optimal control and comfort for both right-handed and left-handed users. Simply screw the handle into the desired threaded opening on the grinder's gear housing until it is secure.

Refer to a qualified service technician for this procedure. (Note: The package includes 2 spare carbon brushes).
  • Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, cuts, or fraying. Do not use the tool if the cord is damaged.
  • Storage: Store the angle grinder in a dry, secure location out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
