- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the reusable filter, travel mug, and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- First Water Cycle: Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the 14oz mark (visible inside the reservoir). Place the empty travel mug on the drip tray. Close the lid. Press the ON/OFF button to run a cycle without coffee. Discard this water. This cleans the internal components.
- Placement: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is near a power outlet and away from water sources.
6. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to brew your coffee:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the top lid of the coffee maker. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. You can use the included travel mug to measure the desired amount (up to 14oz). The internal markings indicate 8oz, 10oz, and 14oz levels.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable filter into the filter funnel. Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. For fine grounds, use approximately 3 scoops (using the included spoon). For regular grounds, use approximately 4 scoops. Adjust to taste.
- Close Lid: Securely close the top lid of the coffee maker.
- Place Mug: Place the 14oz stainless steel travel mug (or your own mug that fits) on the drip tray.
- Start Brewing: Plug in the coffee maker. The LCD display will illuminate. Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing. The indicator light will turn red during brewing.
- Programmable Brewing: To set a delayed brew time, press the PRO button. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set your desired brew time. Once set, press the ON/OFF button. The indicator light will blink red, indicating the timer is active.
- Completion: The brewing process will stop automatically. The indicator light will turn off (or green, depending on the model). Wait a few minutes after brewing is complete to allow any remaining drips to fall before removing your mug.
