1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Unold Uno 48825 Ice Cream Maker. This fully automatic, self-cooling compressor ice cream machine is designed to help you create delicious homemade ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt with ease. With a capacity of 1.2 liters, it can prepare ice cream in as little as 30 minutes (with pre-chilled ingredients). 2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup and First Use

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make delicious ice cream:

1. Prepare Ingredients: Ensure your ice cream mixture is prepared and, ideally, pre-chilled. Pre-chilling ingredients significantly reduces preparation time. The machine can produce 1.2 liters of ice cream.
2. Add Mixture: Pour the prepared ice cream mixture into the stainless steel bowl. Do not exceed the maximum fill line to prevent overflow during expansion.
3. Secure Lid: Place the lid on the unit and ensure it is securely locked.
4. Set Timer: Use the control panel buttons to set the desired operating time. The digital timer is adjustable from 5 to 60 minutes. For pre-chilled ingredients, ice cream can be ready in approximately 30 minutes.
5. Start Operation: Press the start button to begin the freezing and mixing process. The self-cooling compressor will activate, and the mixing paddle will start rotating. The LCD display will show the remaining time.
6. Add Additional Ingredients: If you wish to add nuts, chocolate chips, fruit pieces, or other mix-ins, you can do so through the lid opening during the last few minutes of the churning cycle.
7. Monitor Progress: The machine will automatically stop when the set time expires. The ice cream will typically have a soft-serve consistency. For firmer ice cream, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 1-2 hours.
8. Serve: Once the cycle is complete, unplug the unit. Remove the lid and the mixing paddle. Carefully lift out the stainless steel bowl and serve the ice cream.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your ice cream maker. Basic cleaning is recommended after each use.

1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Disassemble: Remove the lid, mixing paddle, and stainless steel bowl from the main unit.
3. Wash Removable Parts: Wash the stainless steel bowl, mixing paddle, and lid with warm, soapy water. Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling or storing. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
