Initial Setup
Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keypad.
- Insert the provided 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Programming Your Electronic Lock
Your vault's electronic lock can be programmed with a 3 to 8 digit code.
- With the door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door, near the hinge. You will hear a beep.
- On the keypad, enter your desired 3-8 digit code.
- Press the '#' key to confirm your code. You will hear a confirmation beep.
- Test your new code with the door open to ensure it functions correctly before closing the door.
Mounting the Safe
For enhanced security, it is recommended to bolt down your safe. The SA-HD3 includes pre-drilled bolt-down holes and a bolt down kit.
- Choose a secure location for mounting, such as a floor or sturdy shelf.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the vault.
- Drill pilot holes into the mounting surface using an appropriate drill bit.
- Secure the vault using the provided bolt down kit.

Operating Instructions
Opening with Electronic Lock
- Enter your programmed 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' key.
- The door will spring open automatically.

Opening with Override Key
In case of battery failure or forgotten code, use the override key:
- Locate the keyhole, typically concealed near the keypad.
- Insert one of the provided override keys and turn it to unlock.
- The door will open.

Silent Entry Mode
The vault features a silent entry mode for discreet access:
- To activate/deactivate silent mode, press and hold the '0' key for 3 seconds. The keypad will beep once to confirm the change.
- When silent mode is active, keypad presses and door opening will not produce sound.
Care and Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery annually or when the low battery indicator illuminates (if applicable) or the keypad becomes unresponsive. Use only high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the vault with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Interior: The foam interior can be gently wiped with a dry cloth. Do not use liquids inside the vault.
- Keypad: Keep the keypad clean and dry. Avoid pressing keys with excessive force.
