4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the internal 7.4V/3000mAh Li-Ion battery. Connect the provided power adapter to the device's charging port and plug it into a wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes several hours.
4.2 Initial Power On
Locate the power switch on the side of the device. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position. The device will boot up and display the main menu on the TFT LCD screen.
4.3 Connecting to LNB/Antenna
For satellite signal finding, connect the LNB cable from your satellite dish to the 'LNB IN' port on the device. For terrestrial signal finding, connect your DVB-T/T2 antenna to the 'ANT IN' port.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Navigating the Menu
Use the directional arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through menu options. Press the 'OK' button to select an option or confirm a setting. The 'MENU' button returns to the previous menu, and 'EXIT' exits the current function or menu.
5.2 Satellite Signal Finding (DVB-S/S2)
- From the main menu, select 'DVB-S2' or 'Satellite Finder'.
- Choose the desired satellite from the pre-programmed list or add a new one.
- Configure LNB settings (e.g., LNB type, LO frequency, 22KHz tone, DISEQC settings if applicable).
- Adjust the satellite dish while observing the signal strength and quality meters on the screen. The device will provide a sound and light alarm when a signal is locked.
- Utilize the 'Spectrum Analyzer' and 'Constellation Analyzer' functions for detailed signal analysis and fine-tuning.
5.3 Terrestrial Signal Finding (DVB-T/T2)
- From the main menu, select 'DVB-T2' or 'Terrestrial Finder'.
- Select your region and channel parameters.
- Adjust the terrestrial antenna while monitoring the signal strength and quality.
5.4 Channel Scan
The device supports various scan modes:
- Auto Scan: Automatically searches for all available channels.
- Blind Scan: A comprehensive scan that detects all transponders.
- Manual Scan: Allows you to input specific frequency, symbol rate, and polarization.
- NIT Scan: Scans based on Network Information Table.
5.5 AV In/Out Functionality
The device can be used as an AV monitor. Connect an external video source to the 'AV IN' port. Alternatively, use the 'AV OUT' port to display the device's screen content on an external monitor.
