Setup

1. Mounting the Monitor

Attach the monitor to your camera rig or hot shoe using the included tilt arm. The tilt arm provides a secure way to rotate the monitor 360 degrees for optimal viewing. It can be mounted via a shoe mount or a 1/4"-20 thread.

2. Powering the Monitor

The MA6P supports power via a dual-purpose battery plate or DC input.

  • Battery Installation: Insert a compatible Sony NP-F series (e.g., NP-F970/F550) or Canon LP-E6 battery into the battery plate on the rear of the monitor. Ensure the battery is securely latched.
  • DC Power: Connect a compatible DC 12V power adapter (not included) to the DC IN 12V port on the side of the monitor.

3. Connecting to a Camera

Use the provided Micro HDMI or Mini HDMI cable to connect your camera's HDMI output to the HDMI IN port on the monitor. If your camera has a standard HDMI output, you may need an additional standard HDMI cable (not included).

4. Powering Your Camera (DC OUT)

The monitor features a DC OUT 8V port. If your camera supports external power via a DC coupler (not included) and requires 8V, you can connect it to this port to power your camera directly from the monitor's battery.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top of the monitor) for a few seconds to turn the monitor on or off.

2. Menu Navigation

The monitor typically features a menu button and navigation buttons (up/down/left/right or a scroll wheel) to access and adjust settings. Press the menu button to enter the main menu, then use the navigation buttons to select and modify parameters such as brightness, contrast, color temperature, and aspect ratio.

3. Activating Advanced Features
