Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Metronic 477024 FM Alarm Clock Radio. This multi-functional device allows you to wake up to a traditional alarm, your favorite FM radio station, or music from a USB stick. It features a convenient time projection function, adjustable projection angle, and an LED display. The Sleep function allows you to fall asleep to music, while the Snooze function provides extra minutes of sleep.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items are present:

• Power Adapter
• User Manual (this document)

Inspect the device for any signs of damage. If any components are missing or damaged, contact customer support immediately.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input port on the back of the alarm clock. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The LED display will illuminate.

3. Battery Backup Installation

For time and alarm settings backup during power outages, install two (2) AA LR6 1.5V batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries.

Note: Batteries are for backup only and cannot power the unit for normal operation.

4. Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button (or equivalent, typically labeled 'H' for Hour and 'Min' for Minute on the front panel).
2. Use the H button to adjust the hour.
3. Use the Min button to adjust the minute.
4. Release the TIME SET button to confirm.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting Alarms

The device supports dual alarms. To set an alarm:

1. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button (or equivalent, often labeled 'AL'). The alarm time will flash.
2. Use the H and Min buttons to set the desired alarm time.
3. Press the ALARM button again to select the alarm source: Buzzer, FM Radio, or USB MP3.
4. Confirm by waiting a few seconds or pressing the ALARM button one more time.

To turn off a sounding alarm, press the SNOOZE button for temporary silence (snooze function) or the OFF button to disable it until the next set time.

2. FM Radio Operation

1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn on the FM radio.
2. Use the TUNE +/- buttons (or equivalent, often labeled with arrows) to manually tune to a station.
3. Press and hold the TUNE +/- buttons for automatic scanning to the next available station.
4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob on the side of the unit.

3. USB MP3 Playback

Insert a USB stick containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the front of the unit. The device will automatically detect and begin playing the files. Use the SKIP +/- buttons to navigate between tracks.

4. Time Projection

The integrated projector allows you to display the time on a wall or ceiling. Adjust the projection angle by rotating the projector lens. The focus can be adjusted by turning the focus ring around the lens.

5. Sleep Function

Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through preset sleep timer durations (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90 minutes, OFF). The unit will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

6. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button on top of the unit to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the backup batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
• Battery Replacement: Replace backup batteries annually or when the time display is inconsistent during power outages.
