User Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

The EASYGUARD EC202 is a sophisticated 2-way car alarm system designed to enhance the security and convenience of your vehicle. This system features an LCD pager display for real-time feedback, remote engine start/stop capabilities, a timer engine start function, and an integrated microwave sensor for advanced protection. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your EC202 system.

2. Safety Information and Important Notes

  • Professional Installation Required: Installation of this car alarm system requires specialized knowledge and tools. It is strongly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional car alarm installer. Improper installation can lead to vehicle damage or system malfunction.
  • Battery Requirement: The remote control requires AAA batteries, which are not included in the package. Please ensure you have these readily available for operation.
  • Bypass Module: If your vehicle's factory OEM key fob includes a chip immobilizer, an additional bypass module (e.g., ASIN: B07NSLPBG7 or B00MEHBVIC) will be necessary for proper functionality, especially for remote engine start.
  • Remote Working Distance: The remote control typically operates within a range of 500-800 meters in open, wild spaces. This range may be significantly reduced in areas with buildings, radio interference, or other obstructions.
  • Vehicle Compatibility: This system is designed for 95% of DC12V petrol and diesel cars on the market. If you are unsure about compatibility with your specific vehicle, please consult with a professional installer or the manufacturer.

The main control unit features multiple ports for connecting the various components:

  • 6P Ignition Wire Harness: Connects to the vehicle's ignition system.
  • 10P Main Wire Harness: Primary connection for power, ground, and other essential signals.
  • 8P Wire Harness: Additional connections for various functions.
  • Microwave Sensor Port: Dedicated input for the microwave sensor.
  • Shock Sensor Port: Dedicated input for the shock sensor.
  • Alarm Antenna: For remote signal reception.

Note for Diesel Cars: Refer to the detailed wiring diagram provided with the product. A specific wire on the main control unit may need to be cut for compatibility with diesel vehicles.

5.2. Bypass Module Integration

For vehicles equipped with a factory immobilizer chip in the OEM key fob, an external bypass module is required to allow the remote engine start function to operate correctly. This module temporarily bypasses the immobilizer during remote start sequences. Consult your installer for the correct bypass module for your vehicle model.

6. Operating Instructions
