The Midea 22 Pint Dehumidifier is designed to remove up to 22 pints of moisture per day, covering areas up to 1,500 square feet. It is ideal for basements, large and medium-sized rooms, and bathrooms, helping to maintain a healthy humidity range between 45% and 55%.

Setup
1. Unboxing and Placement
Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface in the desired location. The unit features 360° rotatable wheels for easy portability between rooms.

2. Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the unit's requirements (115V).
3. Drainage Options
Your Midea dehumidifier offers two drainage methods:
- Bucket Drainage: The unit collects moisture in its internal 0.8-gallon water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically stop operation and alert you. Simply remove and empty the bucket.
- Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without manual emptying, connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the built-in socket on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

4. Smart Control Setup (Wi-Fi)
This dehumidifier is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing control via the SmartHome app (iOS/Android) or voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant.
- Download the "SmartHome" app from your device's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your dehumidifier to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, you can check humidity levels, set target humidity, and receive full tank alerts remotely.

Operating Instructions

- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Humidity Setting (+/-): Adjusts the target humidity level from 35% to 85%.
- Mode Button: Cycles through operating modes:
- Continuous Mode: The unit operates continuously until the tank is full.
- Comfort Mode: Operates at a lower noise level, ideal for quiet environments.
- Turbo Mode: Provides maximum moisture removal with higher fan speed.
- Timer Button: Sets a programmable timer for 24-hour ON/OFF operation.
- Filter Button: Indicates when the air filter needs cleaning (press and hold for 3 seconds to reset).
- Pump Button: Activates the pump function for continuous drainage (if applicable to your model).
Automatic Functions
- Auto Defrost: Prevents ice buildup on the coils, ensuring efficient operation in cooler conditions.
- Auto Restart: In case of a power outage, the unit will automatically resume operation with the last settings once power is restored.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
1. Cleaning the Unit
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Clean the air inlets and outlets to ensure unobstructed airflow.
2. Cleaning the Reusable Air Filter
The reusable air filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain efficiency. The "Filter" indicator light will illuminate when cleaning is recommended.
- Gently pull out the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Press and hold the "Filter" button for 3 seconds to reset the indicator.

3. Emptying the Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and emit an alert. Carefully remove the water tank and empty its contents. Reinsert the tank firmly to resume operation.
Troubleshooting
