6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your mini oven.
- Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the oven with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface.

- Remove the grill rack and baking tray and wash them in warm, soapy water. They are not dishwasher safe.

- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the oven.
- Do not immerse the oven body, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Bestron AOV9 Mini Oven, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Oven does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outage; timer not set. | Ensure the oven is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check your household's circuit breaker. Set the timer knob to the desired cooking time. |
| Food is not cooking evenly. | Incorrect temperature/time setting; food placed too close to heating elements. | Adjust temperature and cooking time as needed. Ensure food is centered and not touching heating elements. Rotate food halfway through cooking if necessary. |
| Excessive smoke or odor during operation. | Food residue/grease buildup; initial burn-in. | For initial use, this is normal (see Section 4.4). Otherwise, unplug the oven, allow it to cool, and clean the interior, especially the crumb tray and heating elements, to remove any food residue. |
| Timer does not work. | Timer mechanism fault. | If the timer does not function, unplug the oven and contact customer support. Do not attempt to repair it yourself. |
