  • Stainless Steel Trim: Clean the 304-grade stainless steel trim with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner, wiping in the direction of the grain.
  • Control Knobs: The control knobs can be pulled off for easier cleaning. Wash them with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sharp objects on the cooktop surface or trim, as these can cause scratches or damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your cooktop, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps. If the problem persists, contact a qualified service technician.

  • Cooktop does not turn on:
    • Check if the cooktop is properly connected to the electrical supply.
    • Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
    • Ensure the control knobs are pushed down and rotated to an active setting.
  • Burner not heating or heating slowly:
    • Confirm the knob is set to a high enough heat level.
    • Ensure cookware has a flat bottom and is appropriate for radiant cooktops.
    • Check if the cookware size matches the element size.
  • Indicator light not illuminating:
    • If the burner is heating but the light is off, there may be an issue with the indicator light itself. This typically does not affect burner function.
  • Stains on ceramic glass surface:
    • Use a specialized ceramic cooktop cleaner as directed in the Maintenance section.
    • Avoid dragging rough-bottomed pots across the surface.
