- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base. Cover the gas lift with the plastic cover.

Operating Instructions
Your executive office chair features several adjustable functions to customize your seating experience:
- Height Adjustment: To raise the seat, lift the lever located on the right side of the chair while taking your weight off the seat. To lower the seat, lift the lever while seated. Release the lever at the desired height.

Figure 6: The lever for adjusting seat height and locking/unlocking tilt.
- Tilt Lock: To allow the chair to recline, pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards. To lock the chair in an upright position, push the lever inwards.
- Tilt Tension Adjustment: The knob located underneath the seat, at the front of the mechanism, controls the amount of resistance when reclining. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).
- Swivel Function: The chair is designed with 360-degree swivel control, allowing full range of motion without needing to reposition the base.
- Casters: The dual-wheeled casters allow the chair to roll freely across your workspace.
Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your chair:
- Cleaning: For the bonded leather upholstery, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Caster Care: Keep casters free of debris (hair, dust) to ensure smooth rolling.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chair does not adjust height. | Gas lift cylinder malfunction or lever not engaged. | Ensure the lever is fully engaged. If the problem persists, the gas lift may need replacement. |
| Chair squeaks when moving. | Loose connections or friction between parts. | Tighten all assembly screws. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to moving parts if necessary. |
| Casters do not roll smoothly. | Debris caught in casters. | Remove any hair, dust, or debris from the caster wheels. |
| Chair wobbles. | Loose connections or uneven floor. | Check and tighten all assembly screws. Ensure the chair is on a flat, even surface. |
