Setup

Filling the Clean Water Tank

  1. Remove the clean water tank from the back of the unit by lifting it straight up.
  2. Unscrew the black cap at the bottom of the tank.
  3. Fill the tank with hot tap water to the "Water" fill line. Do not boil or microwave water.
  4. Add the Bissell Pro MAX Clean + Protect Formula to the "Formula" fill line. For tough stains, you may use a higher concentration as per formula instructions.
  5. Replace the cap and tighten securely.
  6. Place the clean water tank back onto the unit, ensuring it clicks into place.

Cleaning Procedure

  1. Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Turn on the power switch located on the front of the unit.
  3. Place the cleaning tool directly onto the stained area.
  4. Press the spray trigger to dispense cleaning solution while pulling the tool slowly over the stain.
  5. Release the spray trigger and slowly pull the tool over the same area to suction up the dirty solution.
  6. Repeat passes, alternating between spraying and suctioning, until the stain is removed and no more dirty water is being extracted.
  7. For best results, finish with a few passes of suction only to remove as much moisture as possible.
