Charging the Headlamp

Before first use, fully charge the headlamp. The headlamp is powered by a built-in, non-replaceable lithium polymer battery.

  1. Locate the micro USB charging port on the side of the headlamp.
  2. Open the rubber cover protecting the USB port.
  3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the headlamp and to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  4. The charging indicator light under the switch will illuminate RED while charging.
  5. Once fully charged (approximately 3.5 hours), the indicator light will turn GREEN.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable and securely close the rubber cover to maintain water resistance.

Light Modes

The Bandit Pro offers three distinct light modes: Low, High, and Emergency Flash.

  1. To turn ON/OFF: Press and release the power button once to turn the light on in Low mode. If the light has been on for more than 1.5 seconds, pressing the button again will turn it off.
  2. To cycle through modes (Low & High): From the OFF position, press and release the button quickly to cycle between Low and High modes.
  3. To activate Emergency Flash: From any mode, press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds. The light will enter Emergency Flash mode.
  4. To exit Emergency Flash: Press and release the button once to return to the previously used steady mode (Low or High), or hold the button again to turn off.

The headlamp features a mode memory function. If the light is turned off from Low or High mode, it will return to that mode when turned on again. The Emergency Flash mode does not retain memory; it will always revert to a steady mode upon subsequent activation.

Adjusting the Beam Angle

When using the elastic head strap, the headlamp can be tilted to adjust the beam angle. Gently pivot the headlamp unit up or down within its bracket to direct the light where needed.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the USB port cover is closed before cleaning to prevent water ingress.

Water Resistance

The Streamlight Bandit Pro has an IPX4 water-resistant rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. It is not designed to be submerged in water. Always ensure the USB port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

Battery Care

The headlamp uses a sealed, integrated lithium polymer battery. Do not attempt to open the headlamp housing or replace the battery. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently and recharge it regularly.

Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on while charging: The Bandit Pro is designed not to operate while it is actively charging. Disconnect the USB cable to use the headlamp.
  • Light immediately goes into Emergency Flash mode: If the headlamp activates in Emergency Flash mode unexpectedly, it may be due to holding the button too long during activation. Briefly press and release the button to cycle to Low or High mode, or press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off.
  • Shortened runtime: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Battery performance can degrade over time with repeated charge cycles. Extreme temperatures can also affect battery performance.
