Safety Instructions

Setup and Initial Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the vacuum sealer and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure the sealing bar and vacuum chamber are clean and dry.
3. Placement: Place the appliance on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation.
4. Included Accessories: Your SEVERIN FS 3610 comes with 10 vacuum bags (28 x 35 cm) to get you started.

Operating Instructions

Preparing the Vacuum Bag

• Use only suitable vacuum bags or rolls up to 28 cm wide.
• Ensure the open end of the bag is clean and dry.
• Place food inside the bag, leaving enough space (at least 5-7 cm) at the top for sealing.

Using the Integrated Cutter

The SEVERIN FS 3610 features an integrated cutter for conveniently cutting vacuum rolls to your desired bag size. Simply slide the cutter across the roll to create custom-sized bags.

Automatic Vacuuming and Sealing (One-Touch)

1. Open the lid of the vacuum sealer.
2. Place the open end of the vacuum bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat over the sealing bar.
3. Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place on both sides.
4. Press the "Vacuum & Seal" button. The appliance will automatically remove air from the bag and then seal it.
5. Once the process is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Stop Function for Sensitive Foods

For delicate or moist foods that might be crushed or have liquids drawn into the vacuum chamber, use the "Stop" button. This allows you to manually control the vacuum process.

1. Follow steps 1-3 from the "Automatic Vacuuming and Sealing" section.
2. Press the "Vacuum & Seal" button to start vacuuming.
3. Monitor the vacuum process. When the desired vacuum level is reached (before food is crushed or liquids are drawn), press the "Stop" button. This will immediately stop the vacuum and initiate the sealing process.
4. Once sealing is complete, open the lid and remove the bag.

Sealing Only Function

To seal a bag without vacuuming (e.g., for making a bag from a roll, or resealing a bag of chips), use the "Seal" button.

1. Place the open end of the bag over the sealing bar.
2. Close the lid firmly.
3. Press the "Seal" button. The appliance will create a seal.
4. Once complete, open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your vacuum sealer.

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• The vacuum chamber and sealing bar should be cleaned after each use, especially if any food particles or liquids have entered. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary, then wipe dry.
• Ensure the sealing bar is completely dry before closing the lid or storing the appliance.
