  1. Ensure your turntable is equipped with a Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge.
  2. Connect the RCA output cables from your turntable to the 'Input' RCA jacks on the rear of the Fono Mini A2D Mk2. Ensure left (white) and right (red) channels are correctly matched.

  1. Connect RCA cables from the 'Output' RCA jacks on the rear of the Fono Mini A2D Mk2 to a line-level input on your amplifier (e.g., 'Aux', 'CD', 'Tuner'). Do not connect to your amplifier's 'Phono' input, as this would result in over-amplification.

  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power supply and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate airflow around it to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Check all RCA connections between the turntable, Fono Mini A2D Mk2, and amplifier.
    • Ensure the Fono Mini A2D Mk2 is powered on (power LED illuminated).
    • Verify the correct input is selected on your amplifier.
    • Confirm your turntable is playing and its cartridge is functioning.
  • Distorted Sound:
    • Ensure your turntable has a Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge. This unit is not designed for Moving Coil (MC) cartridges.
    • Check that the Fono Mini A2D Mk2 is connected to a line-level input on your amplifier, not a 'Phono' input.
    • For USB recording, adjust the 'Level' knob to prevent clipping in your recording software.
  • Humming/Buzzing Noise:
    • Ensure the turntable's ground wire is securely connected to the Fono Mini A2D Mk2's ground terminal.
    • Check for any loose connections or interference from other electronic devices.
  • USB Recording Issues:
    • Verify the USB cable is securely connected to both the Fono Mini A2D Mk2 and your computer.
    • Ensure the Fono Mini A2D Mk2 is selected as the input device in your computer's sound settings and your recording software.
