1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the Deerma F628W Air Humidifier. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, water-resistant surface.
• Do not place the humidifier near heat sources such as stoves, radiators, or direct sunlight.
• Do not block air vents.
• Unplug the humidifier before filling, cleaning, or moving it.
• Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank. Use the designated essential oil tray.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not immerse the base unit in water or other liquids.
• Use only clean, cool tap water. Distilled water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup.

2. Product Overview

The Deerma F628W is an ultrasonic air humidifier designed to add moisture to the air, improving air quality and comfort. It features a large 5-liter water tank, adjustable mist output, and a dedicated essential oil tray for aromatherapy.

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to set up your Deerma F628W Air Humidifier for the first time.

1. Unpack the Humidifier: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
2. Place the Base Unit: Position the humidifier base on a flat, stable, and water-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of space from walls or furniture.
3. Detach the Water Tank: Gently lift the top tank unit from the main base unit.

4. Fill the Water Tank: Invert the tank and remove the cap. Fill the tank with clean, cool tap water. Do not fill past the MAX line. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to reduce mineral dust.
5. Secure the Tank Cap: Replace the tank cap firmly to prevent leaks.
6. Place Tank on Base: Carefully invert the filled water tank and place it back onto the main base unit, ensuring it is seated correctly.
7. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Once set up, operating your Deerma F628W Humidifier is straightforward.

4.1 Power On/Off and Mist Control

• Power On: Turn the control knob clockwise from the OFF position. The humidifier will start producing mist.
• Adjust Mist Output: Continue turning the knob clockwise to increase the mist output. Turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the mist output.
• Power Off: Turn the control knob counter-clockwise until it clicks into the OFF position.

4.2 Essential Oil Diffusion

The Deerma F628W includes a dedicated tray for essential oils, allowing you to enjoy aromatherapy while humidifying your space.

• Locate the essential oil tray on the side or back of the humidifier base.
• Pull out the tray.
• Add a few drops of liquid aroma (non-oil based) onto the sponge pad inside the tray. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.
• Slide the tray back into its slot.

Note: Only use liquid aroma specifically designed for humidifiers. Avoid oil-based essential oils in the water tank as they can damage the unit.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the efficiency and longevity of your humidifier and to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold.

5.1 Daily Maintenance

• Before refilling, empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
• Rinse the water tank and base thoroughly with fresh water.
• Refill with clean, cool tap water.

5.2 Weekly Cleaning

• Disconnect Power: Always unplug the humidifier before cleaning.
• Empty Water: Remove the water tank and empty all water from both the tank and the base unit.
• Clean Water Tank: Fill the tank halfway with water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Shake vigorously and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
• Clean Base Unit: Gently wipe the inside of the base unit, including the ultrasonic transducer (the small disc), with a soft cloth dampened with white vinegar. Do not scrub or use abrasive cleaners. Rinse with clean water.
• Clean Essential Oil Tray: Remove and clean the essential oil tray and sponge pad with mild soap and water. Rinse and dry completely.
• Dry Components: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

5.3 Storage

When storing the humidifier for an extended period, ensure all parts are clean and completely dry. Store in a cool, dry place.
