4. Setup

4.1. Installation (Wiring)

WARNING: Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before attempting any wiring. Incorrect wiring can cause electric shock or fire.

  1. Disconnect power to the circuit where the smart switch will be installed.
  2. Identify the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your power source and to your appliance.

  3. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The smart switch does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  4. With the smart switch powered on, open the WOOX Home app and tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
  5. Select 'Electrical' then 'Switch (Wi-Fi)'.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the device into pairing mode (usually involves pressing and holding the reset button on the switch until the indicator light blinks rapidly).
  7. Confirm the indicator light is blinking rapidly in the app and proceed to connect.
  8. Enter your Wi-Fi network password when prompted.
  9. The app will then attempt to connect to the smart switch. Once connected, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.
