Front Panel Controls:

5. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit from its packaging and remove all protective materials.
- Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibration. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power adapter to the AC Power Input on the rear of the unit, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Turntable Setup: Remove the protective cover from the stylus (needle). Ensure the turntable platter is seated correctly.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Turntable Operation
- Lift the turntable lid.
- Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
- Select the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch. For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter over the spindle.
- Move the tone arm clip to release the tone arm.
- Gently lift the tone arm and position the stylus over the desired track of the record.
- Lower the tone arm slowly onto the record. Playback will begin automatically.
- To stop playback, lift the tone arm, return it to the tone arm rest, and secure it with the clip.

6.2. CD Player Operation
- Press the Function Selector to CD mode.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up into the tray.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray.
- The CD will begin playing automatically. Use the CD player controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Skip) to manage playback.
6.3. Cassette Player Operation
- Press the Function Selector to TAPE mode.
- Insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot on the side of the unit.
- Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
- Use the Fast Forward (FF) and Rewind (REW) buttons to navigate the tape.
- Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop playback and eject the tape.
6.4. FM Radio Operation
- Press the Function Selector to FM mode.
- Rotate the Tuning Knob to select your desired FM radio station. The frequency will be displayed on the illuminated radio dial.
6.5. Bluetooth Connectivity
- Press the Function Selector to BT (Bluetooth) mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "Victrola Empire" in your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will glow steadily, and you can stream audio from your device to the multimedia center.
6.6. Auxiliary Input
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external audio device's headphone jack or line-out to the AUX IN jack on the front of the Victrola unit.
- Press the Function Selector to AUX mode.
- Play audio from your external device.
6.7. RCA Line Output
To connect the unit to external powered speakers or an amplifier:
- Connect the included RCA cable to the RCA LINE OUT jacks on the rear of the Victrola unit.
- Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the audio input of your external amplifier or powered speakers.
- Ensure the external audio system is powered on and set to the correct input.

6.8. Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm stereo headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the front of the unit. The built-in speakers will automatically mute.
