5. Installation & Setup
Follow these steps for proper installation of your inverter:
5.1 Site Selection
- Choose a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location.
- Ensure sufficient clearance around the inverter for airflow.
- Avoid areas with direct sunlight, high humidity, or corrosive gases.
- Place the inverter on a flat, stable surface.
5.2 Battery Connection
The Smart Pro 1200 supports a single 12V battery. Ensure the battery is of the recommended type (Tall Tubular Plate, SMF, or Flat Plate) and capacity (e.g., 150Ah).
- Ensure the inverter is switched OFF and disconnected from the mains power supply.
- Connect the red (positive, +) cable from the inverter to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Connect the black (negative, -) cable from the inverter to the negative terminal of the battery.

5.4 Initial Power-Up
- After all connections are secure, switch ON the inverter using the power button on the front panel.
- Connect the inverter to the mains power supply. The inverter will start charging the battery.
