2. Important Safety Information

Please read all safety and operating instructions carefully before using this product. Keep these instructions for future reference.

  • Power Source: Connect the unit only to a power supply of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance. Ensure the voltage is 110/220V as specified.
  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not use this apparatus near water or in excessively humid environments.
  • Heat: Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

4. Product Overview

4.1 Front Panel

The front panel provides access to all primary controls and input ports for convenient operation.

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.

The rear panel houses all the necessary connections for your audio sources and speakers.

  • Audio Inputs (RCA): Two sets of RCA inputs for connecting external audio sources (e.g., DVD player, CD player).
  • Main Speaker Outputs: Banana binding posts for connecting two main speakers.
  • Surround Speaker Outputs: Push button terminals for connecting surround speakers. Note: Surround sound only works when these speakers are connected. Use with 8 ohm speakers.
  • Line Out (RCA): For connecting to another amplifier or recording device.
  • Subwoofer Out (2 Mono RCA): For connecting to powered subwoofers.
  • FM Antenna Input: For connecting the FM antenna.
  • Power Input: For connecting the AC power cable.

5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Technical Pro RX45BT receiver:

5.1 Speaker Connection

  1. Main Speakers: Connect your main speakers to the "MAIN SPEAKERS" banana binding posts on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  2. Surround Speakers: If using surround sound, connect your surround speakers to the "SURROUND SPEAKERS" push button terminals. Ensure correct polarity. Remember: Surround sound requires these speakers to be connected.
  3. Subwoofer (Optional): Connect your powered subwoofer(s) to the "Subwoofer Out" RCA jacks.

5.2 Audio Source Connection

  1. RCA Devices: Connect your DVD player, CD player, or other audio sources to the "AUDIO INPUT" RCA jacks (DVD or AUX).
  2. MP3/AUX Devices: For devices with a 3.5mm output, use an appropriate adapter cable to connect to the AUX/MP3 RCA inputs.
  3. FM Antenna: Connect the included FM antenna to the "FM ANTENNA" terminal for radio reception.

5.3 Power Connection

  1. Ensure all audio and speaker connections are secure.
  2. Connect the power cable to the "POWER INPUT" on the rear panel of the receiver.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable 110/220V AC wall outlet.

Caution: Ensure the receiver is turned off before making any connections to prevent damage to the unit or connected devices.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.
  2. Select Input: Use the input selector buttons (TUNER, DVD, AUX/MP3, SD/USB, BLUETOOTH) on the front panel or remote to choose your desired audio source.
  3. Adjust Volume: Rotate the MASTER VOLUME knob on the front panel or use the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the overall sound level.
  4. Tone Controls: Use the BASS, TREBLE, and BALANCE knobs to fine-tune the audio output to your preference.

6.2 Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the BLUETOOTH input selector button. The display will indicate "BLUETOOTH" or a similar pairing mode message.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "RX45BT" from the list of devices. Once paired, the receiver will confirm the connection.
  4. You can now play audio from your device through the receiver.

6.3 USB/SD Card Playback and Recording

  1. Playback: Insert a USB drive or SD card (max 32GB) containing .mp3, .wav, or .wma files into the respective port/slot on the front panel. The unit will automatically switch to USB/SD input or you can select it manually. Use the playback controls (play/pause, skip, repeat/random) on the front panel or remote.
  2. Recording: The RX45BT can record .wav files onto a USB Flash Drive or SD Card from the Tuner & RCA inputs.
    • Select the desired input source (Tuner or RCA).
    • Insert a USB drive or SD card.
    • Press the record button (if available on the unit/remote, or refer to specific recording instructions in the full manual). Recordings are at 128 kbps / 32 KHz sampling rate.

6.4 Microphone Usage

  1. Connect up to two microphones to the MIC1 and MIC2 inputs on the front panel.
  2. Adjust the MICROPHONE VOLUME knob to control the microphone output level.
  3. Use the ECHO, MIC TREBLE, and MIC BASS knobs to customize the microphone sound.

7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your receiver.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power cord before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are clear and not obstructed by dust or debris. Periodically check and clean if necessary.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power source and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your RX45BT receiver, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
