Setup
1. Charging the Battery
- Locate the battery compartment on the camera.
- Insert the 3.7V 1050mAh lithium battery.
- Connect the camera to a power source using the provided miniUSB cable.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging time is approximately 4 hours.
- Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off.
2. Inserting a MicroSD Card
The PNJ90 requires a microSD card (not included) for storing photos and videos.
- Ensure the camera is turned off.
- Open the microSD card slot cover.
- Insert a Class 10 minimum microSD card, up to 64GB capacity, with the contacts facing down.
- Gently push until it clicks into place.
- Close the cover securely.
Note: Format the microSD card in the camera before first use to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
3. Attaching the Waterproof Housing
For underwater use or protection from dust and impact, use the included waterproof housing.
- Open the latch on the waterproof housing.
- Carefully place the PNJ90 camera inside the housing, ensuring it fits snugly.
- Close the latch firmly until it clicks, creating a watertight seal.
- Before first use in water, perform a leak test without the camera inside.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power/Mode button on the side of the camera.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the screen turns off.
2. Changing Modes
Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through different modes: Video, Photo, Playback, and Settings.
3. Recording Videos
- Switch to Video mode.
- Press the Shutter/OK button (top button) to start recording. A red indicator light will blink.
- Press the Shutter/OK button again to stop recording. The indicator light will stop blinking.
4. Taking Photos
- Switch to Photo mode.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to take a photo.
5. Wi-Fi Connectivity
The PNJ90 features Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control via the PNJ RECORDER app (available for Android and iOS).
- Turn on Wi-Fi on the camera by pressing the Wi-Fi button (if available, or through settings).
- On your smartphone, search for the camera's Wi-Fi network and connect to it.
- Open the PNJ RECORDER app. You can now control the camera, view live footage, and transfer files.
6. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
The PNJ90 is equipped with electronic image stabilization to reduce blur and shakiness in your videos. This feature is automatically enabled for certain resolutions or can be toggled in the settings menu.
