Introduction

The PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller is designed for an immersive gaming experience on your Nintendo Switch. This officially licensed controller features a distinctive Princess Zelda design, motion controls, and Advanced Gaming Buttons for enhanced gameplay. It operates wirelessly via Bluetooth and provides up to 30 hours of gameplay with new alkaline batteries.

Setup

1. Install Batteries

This controller requires two (2) AA alkaline batteries (included). To install:

1. Remove the battery door located on the back of the controller.
2. Insert two (2) AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery door securely.

2. System Update

Ensure your Nintendo Switch system is updated to version 6.0.1 or later for optimal performance with PowerA Wireless controllers.

1. Connect your Nintendo Switch to the Internet.
2. From the HOME Menu, select "System Settings".
3. Scroll down to "System" and select "System Update" to check for and install any available updates.

3. Wireless Pairing

To pair your controller with the Nintendo Switch:

1. Confirm your Nintendo Switch console is powered ON.
2. From the HOME Menu, select "Controllers".
3. Then select "Change Grip and Order".
4. While the following screen is displayed, press and hold down the SYNC Button (located on the top edge of the controller, between the shoulder buttons) for at least one second on the controller you wish to pair.

Note: Once the controller is paired, it will auto-connect next time.

Operating Instructions

Understanding LED Indicators

There are three LED locations on this controller: top, front, and bottom.

• The top LED near the Sync button will flash Red when the Alkaline batteries are nearing depletion. Replace Alkaline batteries once this occurs to avoid interrupting gameplay.
• The Home/View buttons indicate player number 1-8 and will flash during programming of Advanced Gaming Buttons.
• The bottom indicator players 1-8 and will light during wireless pairing.

Advanced Gaming Buttons

This controller features two Advanced Gaming Buttons (AGB) on the back, which can be programmed to replicate any standard button function.

1. Hold the Program Button (small red button on the back) down for 2-3 seconds. The LED Connection Indicator will slowly flash, signaling the controller is in program mode.
2. Press the AGB (L or R) button you wish to program.
3. Press the standard button (A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR, D-pad, Left Stick, Right Stick) you want the AGB to replicate. The LED Connection Indicator will flash 3 times, indicating successful programming.
4. To exit program mode, hold the Program Button down for 2-3 seconds. The LED Connection Indicator will turn off.

Resetting Advanced Gaming Buttons: To reset an AGB to no function, hold the Program Button down for 2-3 seconds, then press the AGB you wish to reset for 5 seconds.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the controller. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
• Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
• Battery Care: If the controller will not be used for an extended period, remove the AA batteries to prevent potential leakage.

Troubleshooting

• My Wireless Controller is not pairing:
  1. Confirm batteries are properly installed and are not drained, used, or damaged.
  2. Confirm you are following the pairing process listed above.
  3. Remove and replace the Alkaline batteries to reset the Wireless controller.
• Interference: If you experience interference, try reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna, increasing the separation between the equipment and receiver, or connecting the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
