Operating Instructions
1. Lighting the Charcoal
- Open the grill hood and ensure the air vents are open.
- Place charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal onto the charcoal tray. Do not overfill.
- Apply a small amount of charcoal starter fluid evenly over the charcoal. Allow it to soak for a few minutes.
- Carefully light the charcoal using a long match or lighter.
- Allow the charcoal to burn until it is covered with a light gray ash (approximately 15-20 minutes) before placing food on the cooking grid.
2. Grilling and Smoking
- Once charcoal is ready, place food on the cooking grid.
- Close the hood to retain heat and smoke.
- Monitor the internal temperature using the integrated thermometer on the hood.
- Adjust heat by opening or closing the air vents on the side of the grill. More open vents increase airflow and temperature; less open vents reduce airflow and temperature.
- For smoking, use wood chips soaked in water and place them directly on the hot charcoal.

- Ash Disposal: Regularly empty the ash collector once the grill is completely cool.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the powder-coated steel body with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Storage: Store the grill in a dry, covered area when not in use to protect it from weather elements.
- Inspection: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and screws to ensure they remain tight.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charcoal not lighting or staying lit | Insufficient airflow; damp charcoal; not enough starter fluid. | Ensure air vents are fully open. Use dry charcoal. Apply more starter fluid and allow to soak. |
| Temperature too low | Air vents closed; not enough charcoal; charcoal not fully lit. | Open air vents. Add more charcoal. Ensure charcoal is fully ashed over. |
| Temperature too high | Air vents too open; too much charcoal. | Partially close air vents. Reduce amount of charcoal. |
| Food sticking to grill | Grill not preheated; cooking grids not cleaned or oiled. | Preheat grill thoroughly. Clean and lightly oil cooking grids before use. |
