Safety Instructions
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the appliance:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your local mains voltage before connecting. Do not immerse the kettle, power base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Hot Surfaces: The kettle body, especially the interior, becomes very hot during operation. Use the handle only. The "Safety-Touch" housing under the handle is designed to remain cool, but exercise caution.
- Scalding Hazard: Always close the lid securely before boiling. Be careful when pouring hot water to avoid scalding. Steam emitted from the spout is also hot.
- Water Level: Do not fill above the maximum fill line or below the minimum fill line. Overfilling may cause boiling water to eject. Operating without sufficient water can damage the heating element.
- Placement: Place the kettle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from edges and out of reach of children. Do not place near hot gas or electric burners, or in a heated oven.
- Children and Vulnerable Persons: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Damage: Do not operate the kettle if the cord, plug, or appliance itself is damaged. Contact customer service for repair.
- Automatic Shut-off: The kettle features automatic shut-off when water boils, when lifted from the base, or if operated dry. Do not attempt to override these safety features.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the Cromargan surface.
- Interior Cleaning: The concealed heating element makes the interior easy to clean. If necessary, wipe with a soft cloth.
- Limescale Filter: The removable limescale filter should be cleaned regularly, especially in areas with hard water.
- Open the lid and carefully remove the filter from its holder near the spout.
- Rinse the filter under running water and gently brush away any limescale deposits.
- Reinsert the clean filter into its holder until it clicks into place.
- Descaling: Limescale buildup can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly, depending on water hardness). Use a commercially available descaling agent suitable for kettles, following the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) can be used. Boil the solution, let it stand for an hour, then rinse thoroughly several times.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the winder on the base.
