Setup
- Mounting: Securely place the sprayer unit in the cargo bed of your ATV or other suitable vehicle. Use straps or bungee cords through the designated tie-down points on the tank to prevent movement during transport and operation.
- Power Connection: Connect the 12V power leads from the sprayer pump to a compatible 12V power source on your ATV. Ensure a secure connection to prevent power interruptions.
- Hose Connection: Connect the spray gun hose to the pump outlet. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Wand Storage: Utilize the integrated clips on the sprayer tank to secure the spray gun wand when not in use, preventing it from flopping around during transit.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Tank: Unscrew the large cap on top of the tank. Carefully pour the desired liquid into the 16-gallon tank. Ensure the liquid is compatible with the sprayer components. Securely fasten the cap after filling.
- Activating the Pump: Turn on the 12V power to the sprayer pump. The pump is on-demand and will activate when the spray gun trigger is pressed.
- Adjusting Pressure: Use the pressure regulator and gauge located on the pump assembly to set the desired spray pressure. Adjust clockwise to increase pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Using the Spray Gun: Press the trigger on the deluxe spray gun to begin spraying. The brass nozzle can be adjusted by twisting it to change the spray pattern from a fine mist to a solid stream.
- Hose Management: The 15-foot hose allows for extended reach. When finished, coil the hose neatly around the integrated hooks on the sprayer unit.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Tank: After each use, especially when using chemicals, thoroughly rinse the tank with clean water. Utilize the drain plug for complete drainage.
- Pump and Hose Flush: Run clean water through the pump and hose system for several minutes to remove any chemical residue.
- Nozzle Cleaning: Periodically check the spray gun nozzle for clogs and clean as needed.
- Storage: Store the sprayer in a clean, dry place, protected from freezing temperatures. For extended storage, ensure the system is completely drained and dry.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not run | No power, loose connection, blown fuse | Check 12V power source, tighten connections, replace fuse if necessary. |
| Low or no pressure | Clogged nozzle, kinked hose, low liquid level, air in system | Clean nozzle, straighten hose, refill tank, prime pump by running water through. |
| Leaking connections | Loose fittings, damaged O-rings/seals | Tighten all fittings, inspect and replace O-rings/seals if damaged. |
