5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Priming the Pump
Before starting the unit, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release air from the system. Allow water to flow through the gun for approximately 30 seconds until a steady stream is achieved. This primes the pump and prevents damage.
5.2 Starting the Pressure Washer
- Ensure the unit is connected to a grounded power outlet.
- Turn on the main power switch on the pressure washer.
- Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin spraying. The motor will start automatically.
5.3 Nozzle Selection
The pressure washer includes four quick-connect spray tips for various applications. Each tip provides a different spray pattern and pressure level:
- 0° (Red): Pin-point jet for intense cleaning of small, stubborn spots. Use with extreme caution.
- 25° (Green): Fan spray for general cleaning of most surfaces.
- 40° (White): Wide fan spray for gentle cleaning of delicate surfaces.
- Soap (Black): Low-pressure spray for applying detergent.

5.4 Using Detergent
The pressure washer features a large 64oz built-in detergent tank.
- Open the detergent tank cap and fill with a pressure washer safe detergent.
- Insert the black (soap) quick-connect nozzle into the spray wand.
- Squeeze the trigger to apply detergent at low pressure.
- After applying detergent, switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25° or 0°) to rinse the surface.

5.5 Cleaning Techniques
Always test the spray on an inconspicuous area first to avoid damage. Maintain a safe distance from the surface being cleaned, typically 6-12 inches, adjusting as needed.

6. Maintenance
6.1 After Each Use
- Turn off the water supply and disconnect the garden hose.
- Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
- Turn off the power switch and unplug the unit.
- Drain any remaining water from the detergent tank.
- Wipe down the unit with a damp cloth.
6.2 Storage
Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free area. Do not store in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) without proper winterization, as freezing water can damage the pump.
6.3 Winterization
If storing the unit in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing:
- Disconnect all water hoses.
- Pour pressure washer pump protector (available separately) into the water inlet.
- Briefly turn on the unit (for 1-2 seconds) until the protector solution exits the high-pressure outlet.
- Store the unit as described above.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not start | No power; GFCI tripped; Power switch off | Check power connection; Reset GFCI; Turn power switch on |
| Low pressure | Insufficient water supply; Clogged nozzle; Air in pump | Ensure full water flow; Clean nozzle; Prime pump (Section 5.1) |
| Water leaks | Loose connections; Damaged O-rings | Tighten all connections; Replace damaged O-rings |
| Detergent not siphoning | Wrong nozzle selected; Detergent tank empty | Use black (soap) nozzle; Refill detergent tank |
