3. Setup

  1. Unpack and Clean: Carefully unpack the grinder. Wash the bean hopper, ground coffee container, and lid with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Assemble: Ensure the upper burr is correctly seated. Place the bean hopper onto the grinder base, aligning the red markings for a secure fit.
  3. Position: Place the grinder on a stable, dry, and level surface.
  4. Load Beans: Fill the bean hopper with whole coffee beans. The hopper holds up to 11 ounces of coffee beans.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Select Grind Fineness: Rotate the upper burr to select your desired grind setting. The grinder offers 16 settings, from extra fine to coarse.
    • Extra Fine: Ideal for Turkish coffee and espresso.
    • Fine: Suitable for espresso.
    • Medium: Recommended for drip coffee and pour-over methods.
    • Coarse: Best for French press, percolators, and cold brew.

  2. Set Quantity: Turn the timer dial (0-12) to select the desired amount of ground coffee. The numbers correspond to approximate cup servings.
  3. Start Grinding: The grinder will start automatically once the timer is set and the hopper is securely in place. It will stop automatically when the set time expires.
  4. Collect Grounds: Remove the ground coffee container from the base. It holds up to 4 ounces of ground coffee.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

  1. Disassembly: Unplug the grinder. Remove the bean hopper. Rotate the upper burr counter-clockwise until it lifts out.

  3. Cleaning Parts: Use a brush to clean any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and the grinding chamber. The bean hopper, ground coffee container, and lid can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water. Do not wash the main housing of the grinder.
  4. Reassembly: Ensure all parts are dry. Insert the upper burr back into the grinding chamber, aligning the tabs. Rotate clockwise until it locks into place. Reattach the bean hopper.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Coffee tastes too bitter: The grind might be too fine. Adjust the grind setting one click closer to 'Coarse'.
  • Coffee tastes too weak: The grind might be too coarse. Adjust the grind setting one click closer to 'Fine'.
  • Grinder not operating: Ensure the bean hopper is correctly seated and locked into place. Check that the power cord is securely plugged in.
