3. Setup: Battery Installation

The Tekswamp replacement remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries correctly:

  1. Locate the Battery Compartment: Turn the remote control over to its back side. The battery compartment cover is located at the bottom end.
  2. Open the Compartment: If present, use a small Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the security screw on the battery compartment cover. Slide the cover downwards or lift it off to open.
  3. Insert Batteries: Insert two AAA batteries into the compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends align correctly with the polarity indicators inside the compartment. Incorrect insertion can prevent the remote from functioning.
  4. Close the Compartment: Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks or is securely fastened. If there is a security screw, tighten it gently.

Once batteries are installed, the remote is ready for use. No additional programming is required for compatibility with the specified Technics SL-PD665 model.
