3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Swiftcam SC1003-CK microscope camera:

  1. Software Installation: Insert the included USB disk into your computer. Install the Swift Imaging 3.0 software. Alternatively, you can download the latest version from the official SWIFT website: swiftmicroscopes.com/pages/swiftcam.
  2. Camera Mounting:
    • Attach the C-mount adapter to your microscope's trinocular port.
    • Securely attach the 0.5x reduction relay lens to the C-mount adapter.
    • Mount the Swiftcam SC1003-CK camera onto the relay lens.
    • If your microscope has a standard eyepiece tube (23.2mm), the relay lens will fit directly. For 30mm or 30.5mm tubes, use the appropriate adapter provided.
  3. Connect to Computer: Plug one end of the supplied USB 3.0 cable into the camera's USB port and the other end into an available USB 3.0 port on your desktop or laptop computer.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the camera is physically installed and the software is set up, you can begin capturing images and videos.

  1. Launch Software: Open the Swift Imaging 3.0 application on your computer.
  2. Live View: The software should automatically detect the camera and display a live feed from your microscope. Adjust the microscope's focus and illumination as needed to get a clear image on your screen.
  3. Capture Images: Use the designated button or menu option within the Swift Imaging 3.0 software to capture still images. The software allows for various image adjustments and measurements.
