1. Product Overview

This document provides instructions for the Nautica NST 500 Black 22mm Original Replacement Watch Band, designed for specific Nautica watch models and other compatible watches. This watch band is crafted from high-quality PVC Leather and features a Black PVD brushed satin finish buckle.

Additionally, this 22mm watch band is compatible with most watches that require a 22mm lug width strap.

2. Setup and Installation

Installing your new Nautica watch band requires careful handling to avoid scratching your watch or the new band. A spring bar tool (not included) is recommended for easier installation.

2.1 Tools Required

• Small flat-head screwdriver or a dedicated spring bar tool.
• Soft cloth to protect your watch.

2.2 Removing the Old Watch Band

1. Place your watch face down on a soft, clean cloth to prevent scratches.
2. Locate the spring bars that hold the current watch band to the watch lugs. These are small, spring-loaded pins.
3. Using the spring bar tool or a small flat-head screwdriver, gently press inward on one end of the spring bar.
4. Once one end of the spring bar is disengaged from the lug hole, carefully pull the watch band away from the watch.
5. Repeat the process for the other side of the watch band.

2.3 Attaching the New Watch Band

1. Insert one end of a spring bar into one of the lug holes on the watch case.
2. Compress the other end of the spring bar using your tool.
3. Align the watch band between the watch lugs and guide the compressed end of the spring bar into the opposite lug hole.
4. Gently release the spring bar, ensuring both ends are securely seated in the lug holes. You should feel a slight click.
5. Lightly pull on the watch band to confirm it is firmly attached and does not easily detach.
6. Repeat the process for the second half of the watch band.

3. Operating and Adjustment

Once installed, the watch band is ready for use. The buckle closure allows for easy adjustment to fit your wrist comfortably.

1. Place the watch on your wrist.
2. Thread the long end of the strap through the buckle.
3. Insert the buckle pin into the desired hole on the strap for a snug, comfortable fit.
4. Secure the excess strap through the two keepers (loops) to prevent it from flapping.

4. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Nautica watch band.

• Cleaning: Wipe the watch band regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and sweat. For more stubborn grime, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth and air drying.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not expose the watch band to strong chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the PVC leather and the buckle finish.
• Storage: When not in use, store the watch band in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Water Exposure: While the PVC leather is durable for active sports or water activities, prolonged submersion or exposure to saltwater should be followed by rinsing with fresh water and thorough drying to prevent material degradation.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your watch band, consider the following:

• Difficulty Attaching: Ensure the spring bars are correctly aligned with the lug holes. Sometimes, a slight angle or gentle pressure is needed to seat them properly. Verify that the lug width of your watch is exactly 22mm.
• Band Feels Loose/Too Tight: Adjust the buckle pin to a different hole on the strap to achieve a comfortable fit.
• Buckle Not Securing: Check for any debris or damage within the buckle mechanism. Ensure the pin is fully engaging with the strap hole.
