1. Introduction and Overview

The Cordoba Mini II Bass MHE is a compact acoustic-electric bass designed for portability and rich tone. It features an extended 580mm (22 7/8”) scale length, allowing it to tune perfectly to Standard E. 2.2 Tuning

The Mini II Bass MHE is designed to tune to Standard E (E-A-D-G). It features a built-in tuner within the Cordoba MB103 pickup system. To tune:

1. Press the 'Tuner' button on the MB103 preamp to activate the tuner.
2. Pluck each string individually. The display will indicate the note being played and whether it is sharp or flat.
3. Adjust the corresponding tuning machine head until the display shows the correct note (E, A, D, G) and indicates it is in tune.
4. Press the 'Tuner' button again to deactivate the tuner.

• Volume: Controls the overall output level of the amplified sound.
• Treble: Adjusts the high-frequency response. Turn clockwise for brighter tones, counter-clockwise for warmer tones.
• Middle: Adjusts the mid-frequency response. This control significantly impacts the presence and punch of your sound.
• Bass: Adjusts the low-frequency response. Turn clockwise for more bottom end, counter-clockwise for a tighter bass sound.
• Phase: The phase switch can help reduce feedback in amplified settings, especially at high volumes. Experiment with both positions to find the optimal sound and feedback suppression.
• Tuner: Activates the built-in chromatic tuner.

4.1 General Care

4.2 String Replacement

Strings should be replaced periodically to maintain optimal tone and playability. The Mini II Bass MHE uses D'Addario EXPPBB190GS coated phosphor bronze, nylon core strings (.037 - .090). When replacing strings, change them one at a time to maintain neck tension. Follow standard string changing procedures for acoustic basses.

Cordoba Music Group (“CMG”) warrants Cordoba guitars and Cordoba 30 Series ukuleles to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from the original purchase date. However, pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, cases, and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
