Operating Your Helmet

1. Visor Operation (CNS-1 Shield)

The clear CNS-1 shield is fog-resistant and provides excellent optical clarity. It can be easily opened and closed using the tab located at the bottom center. For advanced venting and defogging, the visor can be set to a "first position opening" which creates a small gap for airflow.

2. Internal Sun Shield (QSV-2)

The QSV-2 internal sun shield protects against sun glare. It is operated by a slider mechanism on the left side of the helmet. The QSV-2 is designed to be 5mm longer than its predecessor (QSV-1) for improved coverage.

Maintenance and Care

  • Shell Cleaning: Use a soft cloth and mild soap with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Visor Cleaning: Clean the visor with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive materials.
  • Interior Cleaning: The 3D Max-Dry System II Interior is removable and washable. Carefully remove the padding and wash according to the care label instructions. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reinstallation.
  • Storage: Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided helmet bag for protection.

Troubleshooting

  • Visor Fogging: Ensure the visor is properly closed or utilize the "first position opening" for increased airflow. The Pinlock EVO Lens (included) can be installed for enhanced fog resistance.
  • Loose Fit: If the helmet feels loose over time, inspect the interior padding for wear. Replacement cheek pads and center pads are available to restore a snug fit.
  • Noise Issues: Verify all vents are closed if noise is excessive. Ensure the visor is fully sealed. The GT-Air II is designed for advanced noise reduction, but external factors can influence perceived noise levels.
