Setup Instructions

Placement

Position the assembled Murphy bed chest on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance in front of the chest for the bed to fully extend when opened (approximately 80.13 inches from the back of the chest).

Operating Instructions

Opening the Murphy Bed Chest

1. Ensure the area in front of the chest is clear of obstructions.
2. Unlatch the front cabinet doors.
3. Gently pull the front cabinet doors downwards. They will fold out to form the bed frame.
4. Unfurl the included folding memory foam mattress onto the extended bed frame.

Closing the Murphy Bed Chest

1. Remove all bedding from the mattress.
2. Fold the memory foam mattress back into its compact form.
3. Lift the bed frame (front cabinet doors) upwards until they are vertical.
4. Securely latch the cabinet doors to keep the chest closed.

Using the Built-in USB Charging Station

The Murphy Bed Chest includes a built-in power source with a 9-foot cord and two USB ports. To use:

1. Ensure the power cord is plugged into a functional wall outlet.
2. Connect your electronic devices to the USB ports for charging.

Accessing the Storage Drawer

The extra-large storage drawer is located at the base of the chest. It can be accessed by pulling the drawer handle. This drawer is suitable for storing blankets, pillows, or other items.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Wipe the wooden surfaces with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
• For more thorough cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild wood cleaner, then immediately wipe dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

General Care

• Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.

Troubleshooting

Difficulty Opening/Closing the Bed

• Check for obstructions: Ensure no items are blocking the mechanism or the path of the folding components.
• Verify assembly: Confirm that all parts were assembled correctly and all fasteners are tight. Loose components can affect operation.
• Even pressure: Apply even pressure when opening or closing the bed. Avoid forcing the mechanism.

USB Charging Station Not Working

• Power connection: Ensure the main power cord from the bed chest is securely plugged into a functional wall outlet.
• Device compatibility: Verify that your device is compatible with USB charging and that the charging cable is not faulty.
• Reset: Unplug the bed chest from the wall outlet for a few minutes, then plug it back in to reset the power unit.
