Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Before initial use, fully charge the PWRCore 12 Lithium Battery using the PWRJump Charger.
- Connect the PWRJump Charger to a standard power outlet.
- Slide the PWRCore 12 Battery onto the charger until it clicks into place.
- The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. A 2.0Ah battery charges from 0% to 25% in approximately 5 minutes and fully charges in about 45 minutes.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

The PWRCore 12 battery also features PWRAssist Mobile Charging with a USB port for charging other devices.

2. Installing/Removing the Battery
- Installation: Align the battery with the tool's battery port and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Removal: Press the battery release button (usually located on the battery itself) and slide the battery out of the tool.
3. Installing/Removing the Blade
The reciprocating saw features a tool-less blade change mechanism.
- Ensure the battery is removed from the saw for safety.
- Rotate the blade clamp collar counter-clockwise to open the blade clamp jaws.
- Insert the shank of the blade fully into the clamp jaws.
- Release the blade clamp collar. It will spring back and lock the blade in place. Gently pull on the blade to ensure it is securely seated.
- To remove, rotate the blade clamp collar counter-clockwise and pull the blade out.

Operating Instructions
1. General Operation
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Select the appropriate blade for the material you intend to cut.
- Hold the saw firmly with both hands.
- Press the variable speed trigger to start the saw. The speed of the blade is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger.
- The integrated LED light will illuminate the work area when the trigger is pressed and will remain on for 10 seconds after release.
2. Adjustable Pivoting Shoe
The pivoting shoe provides stability and helps reduce vibration during cutting. It maintains constant contact with the workpiece. Adjust the shoe by loosening its locking mechanism (if applicable) and positioning it against the material before starting the cut. This helps to control the depth of cut and improve accuracy.
3. Cutting Techniques
Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped or held to prevent movement during cutting.
- Wood: Use a coarse-tooth wood blade. Apply steady, moderate pressure.
- Metal: Use a fine-tooth metal cutting blade. Apply cutting oil to prolong blade life and improve cut quality. Use slower speeds for harder metals.
- PVC/Plastic: Use a general-purpose blade. Avoid excessive speed to prevent melting the material.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the tool's ventilation openings to prevent overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
- Blade Care: Replace dull or damaged blades promptly. Store blades in a dry place to prevent rust.
