Product Overview

The Tccmebius TCC-S867 docking station features dual slots for simultaneous access to one SATA and one IDE drive. It supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch form factors for HDDs and SSDs.

Setup Instructions

  1. Connect Power: Insert the DC 12V power adapter into the power interface on the back of the docking station. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  2. Connect to Computer: Connect one end of the USB 2.0 cable to the USB interface on the docking station and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Power On: Flip the Power Switch on the back of the docking station to the "ON" position. The red Power Indicator LED will illuminate.
  4. Insert Hard Drive:
    • For SATA drives: Gently slide the 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD into the SATA slot until it is firmly seated.
    • For IDE drives: Adjust the IDE 4PIN connector if necessary using the adjustable socket mechanism at the bottom of the unit. Carefully align the IDE drive with the IDE port and insert it. Ensure both the data and power pins are correctly aligned and connected.

    Note: Always insert or unplug hard drives vertically. Do not replace the hard drive when the product is actively working to prevent data loss or damage.

  5. Drive Detection: Once the hard drive is properly inserted, the blue Hard Drive Connection Indicator LED will illuminate, and your operating system should detect the new drive.

Operating Instructions

Accessing Data:

After the hard drive is detected by your computer, it will appear as an external storage device. You can access, copy, move, or delete files just like any other connected drive. The USB 2.0 interface provides a data transfer rate of up to 480MB/s.

One-Touch Backup (OTB):

The docking station supports a One-Touch Backup function. To use this feature, you must download and install the specific OTB software. Refer to the product guide or manufacturer's website for software download instructions.

Formatting Drives:

If you are using a new hard drive or wish to erase all data, you may need to format the drive. The compatible file systems depend on your operating system:

  • Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) to see if the drive is detected but needs formatting or initialization.
Slow data transfer speeds
  • Using USB 2.0 port.
  • Large file transfers.
  • System resource limitations.
  • This device operates at USB 2.0 speeds (up to 480Mbps). This is normal for the product.
  • Transferring many small files or very large files can appear slower.
  • Close unnecessary applications on your computer.
One-Touch Backup not working
  • OTB software not installed or configured.
  • Incompatible operating system (macOS/iOS).
  • Ensure OTB software is correctly installed and configured according to its instructions.
