Setup and Installation

1. Physical Installation

Follow these steps to physically install your dome camera. Ensure the mounting surface is secure and can support the camera's weight.

1. Positioning: Select a suitable location for the camera, considering the desired viewing area and cable routing.
2. Drill Holes: Use the provided positioning card to mark and drill holes for mounting the camera base.
3. Mount Base: Secure the camera's mounting base to the surface using appropriate screws. For concrete walls, use expansion screws.
4. Connect Cables: Connect the power and video cables to the camera.
5. Attach Camera Body: Attach the camera body to the mounted base.
6. Adjust Angle: Tighten the middle circle to the right to secure the camera and adjust its angle for optimal coverage.

2. Video Mode Configuration (4-in-1 Camera)

This camera supports TVI, AHD, CVI, and 960H CVBS video outputs. The default video mode is 5MP TVI at 20 frames per second (fps). You must switch to the corresponding video mode using the OSD joystick cable according to your Digital Video Recorder (DVR) type before use.

Steps to Switch Video Mode:

1. Connect the camera to a power source and your DVR.
2. Locate the OSD joystick cable attached to the camera.
3. Move the joystick in the direction corresponding to your desired video mode (UP for CVBS, LEFT for AHD, RIGHT for TVI, DOWN for CVI).
4. Press and hold the joystick in the chosen direction for 5 seconds to activate the switch.

Important Note for DVR Compatibility: If your DVR only supports 5MP at 12.5fps, first switch the camera to 960H mode using the joystick. Then, access the camera's OSD menu (usually through your DVR interface) to select 5MP@12.5fps video output.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Varifocal Lens (Zoom and Focus)

The camera features a manual varifocal lens (2.8-12mm) allowing you to adjust the zoom and focus for optimal clarity and field of view. This adjustment is typically done during installation or when the camera's viewing area needs to be changed.

1. Locate the ZOOM and FOCUS adjustment screws/levers on the camera body. These are usually accessible after removing the outer dome cover.
2. Adjust the ZOOM to achieve the desired magnification of the scene.
3. Adjust the FOCUS until the image on your monitor is clear and sharp.
4. Once adjustments are complete, secure the dome cover back in place.

2. Day and Night Vision

The camera automatically switches between day (color) and night (black and white infrared) vision modes based on ambient light conditions. The integrated IR LEDs activate in low light to provide clear surveillance up to 98 feet.

Troubleshooting

• No Picture/Poor Picture Quality:
  • Ensure your DVR is compatible with the camera's video format (TVI/AHD/CVI/960H).
  • Verify the camera's video mode is correctly set using the OSD joystick (refer to "Video Mode Configuration").
  • Check cable connections for security and integrity.
  • Adjust the manual zoom and focus for a clear image.
• Night Vision Issues:
  • Ensure the camera's night vision setting is set to 'Auto' in the OSD menu (if accessible via DVR).
