  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Allow adequate space around the subwoofer for proper airflow to prevent overheating.
  • Water and Moisture: This product is not waterproof. Do not expose the subwoofer to rain, moisture, or liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on or near the unit.
  • Heat Sources: Keep the subwoofer away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.
  • Cleaning: Unplug the subwoofer from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
  • Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Opening the enclosure may expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards.

5. Setup

5.1 Physical Placement

The placement of your subwoofer significantly impacts its performance. Experiment with different locations to find the best sound for your room.

  • Corner Placement: Placing the subwoofer in a corner often maximizes bass output, but can sometimes lead to boomy or exaggerated bass.
  • Wall Placement: Placing the subwoofer along a wall can provide a good balance of output and accuracy.
  • Listening Position: Consider placing the subwoofer near your primary listening position to ensure the bass integrates well with your main speakers.
  • Stability: Ensure the subwoofer is placed on a stable, level floor. The included spikes (5 cm height) can be used to decouple the subwoofer from the floor, which may improve bass clarity.

5.2 Connections

Before making any connections, ensure the subwoofer and all connected audio components are turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied power cable to the subwoofer's power inlet and then to a 220V AC wall outlet.
  2. Audio Input:
    • LFE Input (Recommended for AV Receivers): If your AV receiver has a dedicated Subwoofer/LFE output, connect a single RCA cable from the receiver's LFE output to the LFE input on the subwoofer.
    • Stereo RCA Inputs: If your amplifier or receiver has stereo RCA pre-outs, connect RCA cables from the pre-outs to the Left and Right RCA inputs on the subwoofer.
  3. Once all connections are made, you can plug in and power on your audio components, then the subwoofer.

6. Operating Instructions

The DYNAVOICE Magic MW10 features several controls on its rear panel to fine-tune its performance to your listening environment and preferences.

  • Power Switch: Located on the rear panel, this switch turns the subwoofer on or off.
  • Volume Control: Adjusts the overall output level of the subwoofer. Start with a low setting and gradually increase until the bass blends seamlessly with your main speakers without overpowering them.
  • Crossover Frequency Control: This knob allows you to set the upper frequency limit at which the subwoofer operates (30-180 Hz). Frequencies above this setting will be sent to your main speakers. Adjust this to match the low-frequency capabilities of your main speakers. A common starting point is 80 Hz, but it may vary depending on your system.
  • Phase Control: (If present, typically 0°/180° switch) This control helps to ensure that the subwoofer's sound waves are in sync with your main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that produces the most impactful and coherent bass.

7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your subwoofer.

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they can damage the finish.
  • Grille Care: The black fabric grille can be gently cleaned with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.
  • Storage: If storing the subwoofer for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place, ideally in its original packaging.
