Step 2: Install the Outdoor Camera
Select a screw of suitable length based on your door's thickness and screw it into the outdoor camera unit. Pass the guide rod and cable through the door hole from the outside. Maintenance
Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the screen and the outdoor camera lens. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the device's surfaces.
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator signals low power, replace all four AAA batteries with new ones. Ensure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated in the battery compartment. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- No Image on Screen / Distorted Image:
Check that the four AAA batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Ensure the cable connection between the outdoor camera and the indoor unit is secure and properly seated. If using rechargeable batteries, verify they provide a stable 1.5V output. - Image is Upside Down:
This indicates the outdoor camera was installed with incorrect orientation. Carefully remove the outdoor camera and rotate it 180 degrees before re-securing it. - Poor Image Quality / Glare:
Ensure the outdoor camera lens is clean and free from dust, smudges, or obstructions. While the device provides clear images, extreme bright light conditions (e.g., direct sunlight) might temporarily affect visibility. - Device Does Not Turn On:
Verify that the batteries are correctly installed and fully charged. If the issue persists, try replacing the batteries with a fresh set. - Screen Turns Off Too Quickly:
This is normal behavior. The screen is designed to enter standby mode automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery power. Press the button again to reactivate the display.
