Sharpening Process:

  1. Power On: Turn on the sharpener using the power switch located on the front. The motor will start.
  2. Stage 1 (Coarse Sharpening):
    • Insert the heel of the knife blade into the left slot of Stage 1.
    • Pull the knife slowly and steadily towards you, applying light downward pressure. The precision guides will hold the blade at the correct angle.
    • Repeat this motion 3-5 times for each side of the blade (alternating between the left and right slots of Stage 1).
    • For very dull or damaged knives, more passes may be required.
  3. Stage 2 (Fine Sharpening/Polishing):
    • Once Stage 1 is complete, move to Stage 2. Insert the heel of the knife blade into the left slot of Stage 2.
    • Pull the knife slowly and steadily towards you, applying very light downward pressure.
    • Repeat this motion 3-5 times for each side of the blade (alternating between the left and right slots of Stage 2).
    • This stage hones and polishes the blade, creating a razor-sharp, burr-free edge.
  4. Check Sharpness: Carefully test the sharpness of the knife. If not sufficiently sharp, repeat Stage 2.
  5. Clean Knife: After sharpening, always wipe the knife blade clean with a damp cloth to remove any metal particles before use.
  6. Power Off: Turn off the sharpener and unplug it from the outlet when finished.

Important: Do not apply excessive pressure when sharpening, as this can damage the blade or the sharpener. Let the diamond abrasives do the work.

    • Empty any accumulated metal filings and shards into a waste bin.
    • Replace the plugs securely before next use.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the sharpener with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
