Note: 6 x AA batteries are required and not included in the package.

Setup

1. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the sensor lid. Open the compartment cover and insert 6 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment cover securely.
2. Attach Lid: Carefully place the sensor lid onto the bin body, ensuring it sits flush and is stable.
3. Insert Bin Liner: Place your bin liner into the bin. Secure the top edge of the liner by fitting the clamping ring over it and then placing the clamping ring back into the bin. This holds the liner in place and hides any excess.
4. Placement: Position the bin in your desired location. Ensure there is enough clear space above the sensor for the lid to open fully without obstruction.

Operating Instructions

Motion Sensor Operation

To open the lid automatically, simply wave your hand or an object within the detection range (approximately 10-15 cm) of the infrared sensor located on the front of the lid. The lid will open instantly. After approximately 5 seconds of inactivity, the lid will close automatically.

Manual Operation

For situations where you need the lid to stay open longer, or prefer manual control:

• Press the OPEN button on the sensor panel. The lid will open and remain open.
• To close the lid, press the CLOSE button.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Bin

• Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Interior: Clean the interior of the bin body with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry completely before reinserting the bin liner.
• Sensor Area: Gently wipe the sensor window with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or debris that might interfere with its function.

Battery Replacement

When the lid's operation becomes slow or inconsistent, it is likely time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the 'Setup' section to replace all 6 AA batteries with new ones.
