1. Introduction

This user manual provides detailed instructions for the VSDISPLAY DVI VGA Audio LCD Controller Board. This board is designed to work with LVDS interface LCD screens, specifically compatible with models such as M170ETN01.1, WYD170SKD-01, M170QGBN30-01B, CD170A54-01, and A-E00171102-G. It is ideal for DIY projects, including modifying machines and screen conversions for cabinets.

2. Product Overview

The VSDISPLAY LCD Controller Board offers versatile connectivity and control for compatible LCD panels. Key features include DVI and VGA video inputs, audio output via a speaker connector, and an On-Screen Display (OSD) for various adjustments.

2.1 Key Components

• LCD Controller Board (68676.3 new version): The main processing unit for display control.
• Keyboard with Cable: For navigating the OSD menu and controlling board functions.
• Screw and Nut for GND Connection: Essential for proper grounding.
• Video Inputs: DVI and VGA ports for connecting various video sources.
• Audio Output: Speaker 4-pin connector for audio playback.

2.3 Package Contents

The standard packing list includes the following items:

• 1 × VGA DVI LCD Controller Board 68676.3 (new version)
• 1 × Screw And Nut For GND Connection
• 1 × Keyboard With Cable

Please note: A power adapter, speaker, or board case are not included in the packing list and must be acquired separately.

3. Setup Instructions

1. Verify LCD Screen Compatibility: Ensure your LCD screen model is compatible with this controller board. Compatible models include M170ETN01.1, WYD170SKD-01, M170QGBN30-01B, CD170A54-01, and A-E00171102-G. The model label is typically found on the back of the LCD screen.
2. Connect LVDS Cable: Connect the LVDS 30 PIN cable from your LCD screen to the corresponding LVDS interface on the controller board.

3. Connect Keyboard: Attach the provided keyboard with its cable to the designated keyboard connector on the controller board.
4. Connect Power Adapter: Use a 12V DC power adapter with more than 2A current. The connector should be 5.5mm x 2.1mm.

   Important: The voltage must be exactly 12V DC. Other voltages may damage the board or prevent it from powering on. Insufficient current (less than 2A) may prevent the LCD screen from lighting up.
5. Ground Connection: Secure the board using the provided screw and nut for proper GND (ground) connection. This is crucial for stable operation and to prevent interference.

6. Connect Video Source: Connect your DVI or VGA video source to the respective input port on the controller board.
7. Connect Speaker (Optional): If audio is desired, connect a compatible speaker (e.g., 8ohm 2W 70mmx33mmx15mm with 4Pin Cable) to the Speaker 4-pin Connector.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the board is properly set up and powered, the LCD screen will display the input signal. The board will enter a standby mode when no input signal is detected, consuming less than 1W of power.

4.1 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

Use the connected keyboard to access and navigate the OSD menu. The OSD allows you to adjust various display settings:

• Brightness: Adjust the overall luminance of the display.
• Contrast: Modify the difference between light and dark areas.
• Auto: Automatically adjusts display settings for optimal viewing.
• Language: Select your preferred language for the OSD menu (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, etc.).
• And other settings as available in the OSD.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your VSDISPLAY LCD Controller Board, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

• Keep the board in a clean, dry environment, away from dust and moisture.
• Avoid exposing the board to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the board beyond the specified setup instructions, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Display / Screen Not Lighting Up:
  • Verify that the power adapter is 12V DC and provides more than 2A of current. Incorrect voltage or insufficient current can prevent the screen from powering on.
  • Check all cable connections, especially the LVDS cable, to ensure they are securely seated.
  • Ensure proper grounding using the provided screw and nut. Poor grounding can lead to display issues or prevent power-up.
• Image Not Flipping:
  • The controller board does not support flipping the image. This is a design limitation.
• Image Interference (Horizontal Lines/Artifacts):
  • Ensure proper grounding of the board. Insufficient grounding can cause visual artifacts.
  • Verify that the board is insulated from any metal surfaces of the monitor case to prevent short circuits or interference.
