Safety Information

Setup and Installation
The COMMAX CDL-100WL is designed for normal wooden doors with a thickness between 35mm and 55mm. Refer to the dedicated Installation Guide included in your package for detailed step-by-step instructions and diagrams. Ensure proper alignment and secure fastening of all components for optimal performance and security.
Note: Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with door lock installation procedures.
Operating Instructions
Access Methods
The COMMAX CDL-100WL supports multiple access methods:
- RFID Smart Keys: Up to 30 RFID smart keys can be registered.
- Keypad Password: Up to 4 passwords, each 4-12 digits long, can be set.
- Physical Key: For emergency manual override.

Changing Password
The initial password is 1234. To change the password, follow the instructions on the inner body of the lock or refer to the detailed steps in the Installation Guide.
Registering RFID Smart Key
To register an RFID smart key, follow the instructions on the inner body of the lock. This typically involves entering a registration mode and then approaching the RF key to the reader.
Flex Lock (Automatic & Manual Mode)
The lock features a Flex Lock function, allowing you to switch between automatic and manual locking modes. This is typically controlled by a slide switch located inside the inner body of the lock. In automatic mode, the door locks automatically after closing. In manual mode, you must manually engage the lock.
Dual Lock
The Dual Lock feature enhances security by preventing the door from being opened from the outside. This is particularly useful at night or when extra security is desired. Engage the Dual Lock from the interior unit.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The lock requires 4 AA alkaline batteries. When the batteries are running low, the lock will provide a warning through a light indicator or alarm sounds. Replace all four batteries promptly when this alert occurs.
Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries are completely discharged and you cannot open the door, you can provide emergency power using a 9V battery or a Micro USB 5-pin cable. Connect the 9V battery to the terminals on the exterior unit or the Micro USB cable to the designated port to temporarily power the lock and gain access.
Cleaning
Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the finish or internal components.
Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery level. Use emergency power if needed.
- Keypad not lighting up: Batteries may be completely drained. Use emergency power.
- RFID key not recognized: Ensure the key is properly registered. Try re-registering if necessary.
- Door not locking/unlocking: Check for obstructions in the door frame or mortise. Ensure the lock is properly installed and aligned.
- High Temperature Detection: If the internal temperature rises due to fire, the lock will automatically unlock with warning sounds. This function does not activate if the outside temperature rises first.
