Note:

The included power supply is capable of driving this amplifier at 2 x 40 watts per channel. To achieve the full potential of this amplifier (>50 watts per channel), a 24V 5A power supply capable of producing 120 watts of total output is recommended.

Setup

1. Connect Speakers

Connect your passive speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel of the DTA-PRO. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each channel (Left and Right).

2. Connect Audio Sources

The DTA-PRO offers multiple input options:

Connect your desired audio source cables to the corresponding input ports on the rear panel.

3. Connect Subwoofer (Optional)

If using an active subwoofer, connect it to the "SUB OUT" port on the rear panel.

4. Attach Bluetooth Antenna

Screw the included Bluetooth antenna onto the "ANT" connector on the rear panel for optimal wireless reception.

5. Connect Power

Connect the power adapter to the "DC 24V" input on the rear panel, then plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button on the front panel or the power button on the remote control to turn the amplifier on or off.

Input Selection

Press the SELECT button on the front panel or the INPUT SELECT button on the remote to cycle through available audio inputs (Bluetooth, AUX, Optical, Coaxial, PC-USB). The active input will be displayed on the front panel screen.

Volume Control

Rotate the large knob on the front panel or use the VOL+ / VOL- buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume level.

Tone Controls and EQ

Use the remote control to access tone adjustments:

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select Bluetooth as the input source. The front display will indicate "BT".
  2. On your Bluetooth device, search for "Dayton Audio DTA-PRO" and select it to pair.
  3. Once paired, the display will show a stable Bluetooth connection.

DAC Sampling Rate Indication

The front panel features indicator LEDs that display the sampling rate of the incoming digital audio signal (e.g., 44.1K, 48K, 88.2K, 96K, 176.4K, 192K).

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No power Power cord not connected; power outlet not active; unit off. Check power connections; try a different outlet; press power button.
No sound Incorrect input selected; volume too low; speaker wires disconnected; source device not playing. Select correct input; increase volume; check speaker connections; verify source playback.
Distorted sound Volume too high; poor source quality; incorrect speaker impedance. Reduce volume; try a different source; ensure speakers are compatible.
Bluetooth not connecting Amplifier not in pairing mode; device too far; interference. Ensure BT input is selected; move device closer; restart amplifier and device.

Optical input not working / static noise Faulty optical cable; incorrect source settings; amplifier issue. Check optical cable connection and integrity; ensure source device is outputting optical audio; try a different optical cable.
