Maintenance

Bulb Replacement

If a bulb burns out, replace it promptly to maintain the aesthetic and ensure proper circuit function. Always unplug the light string before attempting any bulb replacement.

  1. Unplug the light string from the power source.
  2. Carefully unscrew the burnt-out bulb from its socket.
  3. Screw in a new C7 incandescent bulb (5 watts, E12 candelabra base) from the provided spares or a compatible replacement.
  4. Ensure the new bulb is screwed in firmly but do not overtighten.

Fuse Replacement

The male plug contains a replaceable fuse to protect against electrical overloads. If the entire string of lights fails to illuminate, the fuse may need replacement.

  1. Unplug the light string from the power source.
  2. Slide open the fuse access cover on the side of the male plug.
  3. Carefully remove the old fuse.
  4. Insert a new 5-amp fuse (one spare is included).
  5. Close the fuse access cover securely.

Cleaning and Storage

  • Cleaning: Disconnect from power. Wipe bulbs and wires with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the lights in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Coil the string neatly to prevent tangling and damage to wires or sockets.
