Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your food processor.
- Always unplug the food processor before cleaning.
- Motor Base: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Work Bowl, Lid, Blades, Discs, Food Pusher: These parts are dishwasher safe (top rack only). For quick cleaning, add warm water and 1-2 drops of dish soap to the leak-resistant work bowl, secure the lid, and pulse a few times. Then rinse thoroughly.
- Storage: All accessories (blades and discs) can be stored directly inside the 9-cup work bowl for compact and convenient storage.
Troubleshooting
If your food processor is not operating as expected, refer to the following common issues:
- Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Verify that the work bowl and lid are correctly assembled and locked into place. The food processor has a safety interlock system.
- Uneven processing/chopping: This can occur if the work bowl is overfilled or if ingredients are too large. Process in smaller batches. Cut larger ingredients into uniform pieces before adding. Use the Pulse function for better control over consistency.
- Motor sounds strained: This may indicate that the load is too heavy or the ingredients are too dense. Reduce the amount of ingredients or cut them into smaller pieces.
- Liquid leaks from bowl: Ensure the lid is properly sealed and locked. Do not fill the work bowl above the maximum fill line.
