5. Operating the Learning Function
The primary feature of this remote is its ability to learn infrared signals from your existing remote controls. This allows you to consolidate multiple remotes into one. Follow these steps carefully to program the learning remote:

- Enter Learning Mode: Press and hold the device button you wish to program (e.g., "TV", "SAT", "DVD", or "CBL") on the Zerone learning remote. Release the button when the working indicator lamp lights up continuously.
- Position Remotes: Aim the top (IR emitter) of your original remote control directly at the top (IR receiver) of the Zerone learning remote. Maintain a distance of approximately 1-3 cm (0.4-1.2 inches) between them.
- Select Button to Learn: On the Zerone learning remote, press the button you want to program (e.g., "VOL+"). The indicator light will flash, indicating it is ready to learn.
- Transmit Signal: On your original remote control, press and hold the corresponding button (e.g., "VOL+"). The Zerone remote's indicator light will flash quickly and then turn into a long bright state, signifying successful learning.
- Repeat for Other Buttons: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for any other buttons of this device that you wish to learn.
- Exit Learning Mode: Once all desired buttons are programmed for the current device, click the "TV" button (or the device button you initially held) on the Zerone remote. The indicator light will turn off, and the learning setup for that device is exited.
Note: The remote retains learned settings even after battery replacement.
